| NCI North Carolina Interventions: |
|
|
A standardized training program to prevent the use of restraints and seclusion created by DMH/DD/SAS and used in all state facilities. Part A, Part B, Core and Core Plus Interventions Technique for dealing with agitated and/or violent clients.

Anyone who works in DMH/DD/SAS state-approved facilities. Three levels of training are available:
Prevention: does not include physical interventions
Core: includes non-restraining interventions
Core+: includes restraints

Seizure Recognition and First Aid explains what epilepsy is and describes the different types of seizures. Identifies the different seizure types and appropriate first aid. It also contains information on handling seizures that occur under special circumstances, such as in the water, in an airplane or on a bus.
